Our Mission
Asthma and Allergy of Idaho/Nevada is a company that seeks to operate with excellence, and to be in tune with the needs and expectations of referring doctors and our patients. We aim to do what is right for the patient.
Asthma and Allergy of Idaho/Nevada is continuing a process of dramatic change. Our goal is a big one. We want Asthma & Allergy’s reputation throughout southern and northern Idaho and northern Nevada to be “a company that seeks to operate with excellence, and to be in tune with the needs and expectations of referring doctors and our patients.” What does this mean?
It begins with the providers staying up to date on the latest advances in allergy, asthma and immunology. We do this by reading medical journals, attending medical meetings and being involved in clinical trials of new and promising medications. We seek to operate with innovation, speed and flexibility.
To succeed in this, we expect all our employees to operate with a special set of behaviors that will help us deliver excellence in our work and enhance our relationships with others. These behaviors include striving to do more than is expected, continuing to learn new skills and seeing how we can help each other to best serve our patient’s needs. We also know that, in today’s environment, integrity cannot be taken for granted. Our philosophy is that rules and regulations must be obeyed. Humility is a quality not always associated with business. We want it to be associated with ours.
To do our best, we must listen to each other, as well as our patients, and learn from what they tell us. This includes asking for feedback about how we can do better-and then trying hard to do it.
Health is precious. Each of us cares deeply about our own health. We may care even more deeply about the health of others- our children, parents, friends, and loved ones. We must strive to operate each day as if it were our health, or that of someone close to us, that is at stake.
How can we bring together all the factors outlined above into a sense of purpose for what we do and a guide for how we do it? Here is the answer: Aim to do what is right for the patient.
If we work back from what is right for the patient, we believe that we will have the appropriate frame for strategies, actions and decisions in our work. Healthcare today is full of complex choices and difficult decisions. Not everyone will always agree with how we see things or how we respond. But we will work hard to do the right thing.
Finally, as we build this business, we are striving above all to earn trust, every day. We know we will earn trust through our actions, the behavior of our people, and our results. We also know we will earn trust through our passion for what we do. We believe this is how we will grow, and succeed, as a business. We believe this is how we, working together as a team, will deliver excellence for our patients.
